One Hundred Month Goals – Number 7!

Once again this month, I faced a number of tough questions, with the main one being how to best approach the walking schemes. I have had various ideas which I’ve discarded but now settled on what I believe is the best one for me. I will be logging quality days by AONBs and National Parks, not counties. This makes more sense and leads to higher quality routes and learning opportunities.

I also had a good think about how best to proceed with vlogging, coming close to scrapping the activity altogether.

I logged two QLDs which is great, both in different areas. One was in Arnside, and the other in the Dark Peak at Ladybower. On these days, I focused on identifying flowers with good success using a new guidebook – ‘Wild Flowers’ by Tracey Dickinson.

I also had a good think about how best to proceed with vlogging, coming close to scrapping the activity altogether. I decided, however, that I would love to have a personal film record of the places I’ve been so I might as well continue. They are targeted just at aspiring leaders though. There are more than enough promotional videos on YouTube for the casual hiker and I don’t feel the need to create routes and videos to compete with them. This cuts my audience down a bit, but hey this website is all about professional leadership!

One other interesting development this month was the start of an Adobe course. This will lead to a better logo, website and digital content in the form of an eBook. Watch this space…
