Yesterday I managed one of those rare achievements with this project – the initial route I had marked out was not only a safe one it was also an absolutely brilliant day out in fine weather. Everything came together. I ended up walking for nearly eight hours altogether which is quite a long day out by most standards but such is the job that the 9-5 in the ‘office’ is needed to pull all of the strands of this thing together. As if that wasn’t good enough, I now know that the final sections are all excellent quality too as I’ve done most of them in stages before, but never all in one go. It should be a superb Easter holiday, whatever the weather holds.
