A short walk today from Brighouse to Mirfield and back again, to check out section eight of the heritage trail. I’m really pleased with the route so far, though I have just realised I’m a little behind on writing it all up!

The above picture is of Huddersfield Broad Canal – doesn’t look that broad to me but the narrow bit in the town centre is definitely a tight squeeze.

Sometime at the end of this month I shall get chance to write the remaining sections up to Brighouse and then actually walk to Huddersfield which is where part eight finishes. Then on to part nine out of twelve – not long to go now, can’t believe I’m approaching the finishing line for the trail.
