Month two, with winter in mind…
As I continue with the online version of One Hundred Month Goals, some updates on progress. This is definitely a project where the clarity of a goal or an aim will change over time.
Let’s focus on the outdoor goals for now, even though you’re aware if you’ve read my post about month one that there’s a lot of other things going on too.
I’m about to start the process of gaining Quality Lowland Days, while each month staying mountain fit by visiting the Lakes or North Wales as often as possible. This will help for when I finally get round to sorting my Winter ML out. All in good time.
The overall end result is to have the knowledge, qualifications and experience to deliver the skills certifications run by Mountain Training and also train and assess candidates on the walking qualifications schemes. I shall add in formal ecology training into this as well.
For the Lowland Leader, I’ll be focusing on National Trails as a major theme and hopefully walking at least one of them for its full length. It’s very likely I’ll begin all of this in May, when the chances of having a winter day are very unlikely!
