Getting ready for the fourth part of WYW

As the weekend gets closer, the inevitable question of which walk to do next gets more urgent to answer. It feels as though I’ve been stuck at Otley Chevin for a while now so I’m planning on hiking to East Keswick this weekend. This time I shall vlog parts of it ready for a video production in the next couple of weeks.

The overall route still needs some tweaking so I will be spending some time doing that, and also getting excited about exploring my camera modes a little more. To date, I’ve mostly used auto settings, letting the camera do the hard work. But I’d like to get to the point where I look at a scene and know which settings and lenses are required. I’m starting this lengthy process by learning what all the functions on my current camera do. I use YouTube’s recommended Canon Powershot G7X Mark 3.

Adventures remain further afield as well, with a lot more work on Helvellyn to come. And if the snow falls on a weekend, then I’ll be out getting some Winter QMDs. Stay tuned!
