Yesterday, I finished a new mountain challenge to hike every route on Snowdon in three days. The route I worked out to link them all together included summiting five times and hiking ten routes in all with only one of them repeated. I’ll work out the stats soon enough – it’s a long way with a lot of ascent!

Day One involved a hike from Llyn Gwynant campsite on the east side of Snowdon, up to Pen y Pass. From there I did Crib Goch and then Y Lliwedd, which is the classic Snowdon Horseshoe, followed by a brief break in the cafe at Pen y Pass and then straight on to the Pyg Track, summiting Snowdon a second time that day!

Finally, I headed down the Miner’s Track to Pen y Pass, and then back down to Llyn Gwynant to basecamp ending Day One.
