On Sunday I finally completed a route which I’ve had in mind for a long time – a 20 mile (32km) circular in Calderdale and parts of Bradford. I did it for three reasons.
1 – Because I’ve bought myself a pair of Oboz boots and was keen to take them for a spin
2 – It’s part of my West Yorkshire Walks guidebook
3 – I’m preparing for the LDWA Woldsman 50 mile challenge. The terrain I’ve chosen here is slightly more challenging in terms of height gain, so hopefully I can enter the event with enough stamina to finish in just 24 hours.
